At one point or another; we may find ourselves in a position where we are helping someone move, knowing someone in need of moving, or finding a “new” home ourselves. The thought of moving can be very stressful. Physically moving is a heavy tumultuous task, to say the least! Learning the importance of Downsizing & Moving can be a huge building block to making the moving process seem more seamless.
Imagine for a moment how scary this past year was to our seniors alone and how much “movement” they experienced in a years’ time. There’s no doubt 2020 flipped our sense of “normalcy” all over the place and most of us are still trying to get a better grip on things. With the New Year here, it’s time to dust off the ‘old with the new’, even in this “new norm” we call life.

How many of us have heard or used the word "Zoom" in the last year? It’s pretty safe to say ‘virtually connecting’ has become a fabric of how we walk and talk, live and breathe, in fact, this virtual world is the way of the future. Virtual Organizing is a great way to embrace this newer philosophy, especially in the now, as most of us have to continue bunkering down in our homes to remain safe.
Each of us has to remain diligent, adaptable, and accepting of change. If there is anything this last year taught us, it was the importance of appreciating the little things, just a little bit more and that life can change in the blink of an eye. As we embark on this year, we may find ourselves in a position where we are helping someone move, knowing someone in need of moving, or finding a “new” home ourselves. Although moving can be stressful no matter what steps you take, it can also be manageable and doable especially with the proper steps and help from those who give it!
