DOI's New Accreditation!

Here at Discover Organizing Inc., we keep an eye out for any opportunities to improve ourselves. Anytime we can find an occasion to access new training opportunities or new accreditations, we jump at those chances! Because of this, the employees at DOI were ecstatic to start the process of getting an A+ certification from The National Association of Senior and Specialty Move Managers (NASMM).

DOI joined NASMM in 2012 and has been a member for 9 years. We joined this esteemed association because they are the leading membership organization for Move Managers in the United States, Canada, and abroad. Every general member who joins NASMM must meet strict vetting criteria, but there is a higher tier of membership—the A+ certification.


NASMM’s A+ certification requires at least one Certified Senior Move Manager to be on staff and the submission of over 100 pages of documented policies and procedures. After everything has been submitted, all materials are reviewed by an independent, non-profit, accrediting body. The A+ certification is meant to “promote the quality, value, and optimal outcomes of Senior Move Management services through a consultative accreditation process focusing on enhancing the lives of the persons served.” (NASMM A+ Accreditation Commission) What that means is, only the best of the best Senior Move Management businesses can receive an A+ certification. Any who are granted A+ status have proven that they can go above and beyond when it comes to the care, quality, and professionalism of their business practices.



Our team members (From Left to Right): Jill Yesko, Ceri Binotto, Therese VanOverberg, and Ethan Earlewine worked together to update several forms and procedures, created a new Senior Move Manager Operations Manual, and collected all documents and certifications that needed to be submitted to the accreditation board. These hard-working team members spent several months working together to gather everything they needed and to update our procedures to be at an A+ level. After all of their hard work, DOI is extremely proud to say that we have been awarded the A+ certification! To put everything in perspective, out of every Senior Move Manager Company in Pennsylvania there are only two NASMM A+ accredited businesses, and Discover Organizing Inc. is one of them!


Everyone at DOI wants to take the time to truly thank our hard-working team members who made this possible. Jill Yesko, our founder, spent more than 10 years creating the documents and systems responsible for our accreditation. It was her expertise and dedication that made this possible in the first place. Ceri, our Certified Senior Move Manager, was able to bring her expertise to bear throughout the process. She provided insight and suggestions that allowed us to update and fine-tune our systems. Therese, our Office Manager, was able to update all of our forms and procedures with her sharp attention to detail. Her keen eyes helped us find areas where we could streamline our processes. Ethan Earlewine, our Content Writer, worked with the other team members to organize and structure our Senior Move Manager Operations Manual. All of these team members put 100% into this project and everyone here is proud of the work they accomplished.


We would also like to take this opportunity to thank you, our clients, and our community. Without you, none of this would have been possible. It was our drive to better ourselves for your sake that led to us seeking a NASMM A+ accreditation. Everyone at DOI cherishes working with and interacting with each and every one of you.
